HOW DID WE MISS THE BIGGEST STORY SINCE CHRIST?
Much of it happened in our lifetimes, right before our eyes. Unfortunately, because of the latent antisemitism, even in our churches, we all missed it. Some twenty-five centuries ago the prophet Jeremiah said to Israel: “Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’ Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth – everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made” (Isa. 43:5-7 NIV). This is talking about the Jews returning to their land in our time!
Isaiah also prophesies: “And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord will set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, that shall remain, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea” (Isa. 11:11 ASV). Isaiah makes clear that this is not the return from Babylon but a second return in our day.
The prophet Jeremiah says that this second return of Israel to their land will be greater than when Moses brought the children of Israel out of Egypt long ago (Jer. 16:14-15). How could such an incredibly important event happen, and we all miss it?
This whole story began in 1882, and it continues until the present hour. The people of Israel have returned to their land from the nations and all Hell is fighting against this reality.
